When you have to prepare to teach something to someone else, you store the information differently. Don’t let your student go past the practice pages without doing a teach-back with you.

There is an amazing series of books called Verbal Math Lessons by Michael Levin that I utilize for mental math.

The Epsilon level of Math-U-See (fractions) are so critical for Algebra 1 readiness. If you remind students of the formula every single time, they get in the habit of asking for it, so they don’t really remember it.

Set your student up for success by creating a positive environment for them.

Doing more is not always the best.
