There is a crisis with boys in our culture. They are three times more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD and often are at the bottom of test scores and at the top of suspension rates. Join Gretchen Roe and Dr. Vermelle Greene (The Boys Initiative) for practical suggestions to make your sons’ academic experiences the best.
Please Teach Me Like I’m a Boy! by Dr. Greene.
Boys are in crisis and continue to fall behind girls in academics and readiness for college or careers. Boys learn differently, and educators must be willing to change instructional methods to meet their learning and developmental needs. Dr. Vermelle D. Greene has been a schoolteacher and administrator for more than 45 years. She holds degrees from Dickinson College, George Washington University, and International Seminary. After retiring, she founded S.A.C.R.E.D. Life Academy for Boys, a Christian school focused on building character and accommodating the educational needs of boys. Dr. Greene is currently an educational consultant and lives in southern Maryland with her husband, Vernon. They have two married children and six amazingly beautiful grandchildren.
