Algebra 1: Principles of Secondary Mathematics Testimonial Videos

During the development of Algebra 1: PSM, we had a variety of families participating alongside us to work the materials, guide us in the best practices in implementation, and experience this different methodology for completing an Algebra 1 course. What follows are four video interviews with different families at the conclusion of the pilot program. Our hope is that you can relate to their stories and see your family’s story reflected in theirs.

Bess Family

Macie and Tamra Bess were not familiar with Math-U-See products, and this was a first-time experience for them. Listen as they talk about the joy of discovery of independent mathematical study.

Buffey Family

Garrett and Kate Buffey are a longtime Math-U-See family.  Kate is a physician, and Garrett was an 8th grader when completing Algebra 1: PSM. Listen to their story as they talk about working independently in the midst of a busy year of homeschooling.

Hunsicker Family

Audrey and Rebekah Hunsicker are another longtime Math-U-See family. Rebekah was delighted to use Algebra 1: PSM with Audrey as she found it complemented Audrey’s auditory learning style.

Robinson Family

Caleb and Rebekah Robinson are an experienced Math-U-See family who felt Algebra 1: PSM was a great independent learning experience. Listen as they talk about Caleb’s studies as an 8th-grade student.
