What is a Group Subscription and How Does it Work?

Our Group Subscription is ideal for co-ops, classrooms, or schools that need an organizational workspace to manage multiple students and instructors. Instead of one-time digital purchases, we use Group subscriptions to handle your course access, student management, and additional co-instructors.

Key Features of a Group Subscription

Group Subscriptions include multiple features, which vary depending on the plan selected:

  • Student Seat: The total number of individual student accounts you can have active at one time. Each active student in your account uses one seat.
  • Course Credits: Represents your ability to add specific courses to your library. 
  • Billing Cycle: Whether your subscription renews on a monthly or annual basis.
  • Instructor Access: Group subscription plans include the ability to invite additional instructors to help manage students and assignments.

Group Subscription Tier Overview

Our group subscription options are designed for schools, co-ops, and tutoring organizations where you, as the Group Owner, manage your students, instructors, and courses, providing a flexible way to manage your digital course materials and student progress. Each tier includes five student seats and access to all free resources in our catalog, with varying levels of course access:

  • Free: Provides access to all free resources and content, allowing groups to explore the platform at no cost. 
  • Group Essential: Includes two Course Credits, Group Owner, and one Instructor Account.  Idea for a small co-op or single classroom Instructor.
  • Group Expanded: Includes ten Course Credits, two Instructor Accounts, offering more variety for multi-student environments or instructors.
  • Premium: Offers unlimited Course Credits, giving you full access to every course available in our catalog, and two instructor accounts

Add-Ons

After selecting your Group plan, view Customize Subscription to increase the number of courses, instructors, or students.

Managing Your Access

  • The Library: Think of this as your group’s bookshelf of available courses to access and assign. 
  • Assignments: Simply adding a student to your group account does not automatically give them course access. You (or an instructor) must explicitly assign a course from your Library to a student to unlock their lessons.
  • Changes & Flexibility: You can upgrade your subscription at any time to add more instructors, seats, or course credits, which typically takes effect immediately. If you choose to cancel, your access remains active until the end of your current paid billing period.
